Kirsten Holliday lives and works in beautiful Portland, Oregon, tattooing at Wonderland Tattoo. She loves designing tattoos of animals, produce and botanicals, and traditional tattoo subjects. Because her influences heavily feature traditional tattoos, she loves to do tattoos that are high-contrast and boldly lined. Her love of art nouveau and art deco influence her color palettes and heavy use of geometric designs paired with more organic forms. She also loves designing tattoos that are nerdy, crafty, or that have a sense of humor!
Kirsten was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She has wanted to be an artist since age six, when she abandoned the idea of becoming an accountant, moving to Colorado, and having fourteen children. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with her degree in Rhetoric and Writing, she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she apprenticed at Icon Tattoo Studio under Melanie Nead. In her scant free time, she loves to paint, bake, cook, ride bikes, hang out with her pets, and read books and blogs.
